Wadie "WJ" Habboush, a native of Virginia, is an American entrepreneur, investor, and asset manager with over two decades of experience specializing in special situations, asset acquisitions, and restructurings within the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, graduating magna cum laude from American University's Kogod School of Business. Early in his career, Habboush practiced corporate law at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity offerings.
Transitioning from law to asset management, Habboush served as CEO and co-founded the asset management business at Habboush Group (HG), partnering with leading multinational corporations and financial institutions to acquire, develop, and operate assets globally. Notably, he managed HG and Goldman Sachs’ Special Situations Group’s on-balance sheet energy investments, overseeing international power asset portfolios. His leadership extended to strategic operating partnerships, including joint venture companies with Halliburton and Fluor Corporation, focusing on alternative asset investments and infrastructure development.
